Helping Hands needed
As of now we are looking for Helping Hands who want to get involved in the 2017 LET’S CEE Film Festival!
So what’s it all about? If you are smart, hardworking, reliable, flexible, friendly, a film buff, over 18 years old, can speak at least German and English (other languages are also beneficial, in particular those from the CEE region), and if you have at least 2 weeks of time in total to offer between now and the end of March 2017 and want to get on board with us, then simply send your application – CV, portrait photo and cover letter – then simply send your application – CV, portrait photo and cover letter – to Aleksandra Antic at volunteers@letsceefilmfestival.com.
As a non-profit cultural association we receive little funding and must manage on a tight budget, meaning that, unfortunately, we can only offer our Helping Hands voluntary work. Nevertheless you will definitely benefit immensely from your involvement:
- With your LET’S CEE-ID you can see all films for free, so long as you are not helping out at the festival at the very moment and there is space in the cinema. In addition you can also visit, for free, all of our other public events (subject to availability directly before the event begins) such as our high-quality Master Classes and Industry Days.
- As a souvenir you’ll get a Volunteers-Festival-Package, containing our festival bag, a poster, our film catalogue, a T-shirt and other goodies!
- You will be part of a brilliant international team. We are 200 people in total, the overwhelming majority women. You can make new contacts and also new friends with whom you share common interests.
- You can learn a lot working with us. If you are good at the job and apply yourself, you can quickly take on quite a lot of responsibility. We watch out to make sure that everything runs smoothly, but you can get involved with things that you will look back on for many years to come.
- You can learn about the festival industry from the inside and will come close to international as well as local filmmakers. And with a bit of luck you will also get to know them personally.
- You will receive a great letter of recommendation (including a confirmation of the extent of your commitment). A recommendation that you can show to future employers, as our festival has earned itself a pretty good reputation at home and abroad.
- You will be mentioned by name in our film catalogue, on the festival website and also most likely during the awards ceremony, on the screen as a member or our team and in this way immortalised.
- And at the end of the festival you will go home with the amazing feeling of having been part of a tremendously important cultural and social project, a project that would not exist without you and the other interns and volunteers.
We look forward to your application!
LET’S CEE you soon!
