This year’s LET´S CEE Film Festival will be the third consecutive iteration already, again taking place in Vienna. Over a period of ten days, it will offer cineasts a rich programme of high-level film productions from Central and Eastern Europe. The programme features several original versions with German and English subtitles. The carefully selected masterpieces from the CEE regions will be screened in the Urania, Actors Studio and Village Cinema Wien Mitte theatres. Apart from current productions, classics, art house and authors’ films, the selection will also feature popular box office hits. Being a multicultural metropolis in the very heart of Europe, Vienna is the ideal stage for a festival of this kind. The city’s historical, cultural and economic connections to the CEE countries serve as the best proof for that. We at Cineplexx International and Constantin Film are very glad to serve as presenting partners of the LET’S CEE Film Festival. As the leading film theatre operator in many CEE countries, we are closely tied to the economy, culture, and the people of these regions. In addition to that, one of our core motivations is to support the positive way in which this Festival seeks to create bridges between nations, and also to introduce the audience, be they Austrians or migrants, to the distinguished cinematic art of our neighbours. We are especially glad and honoured to welcome two-time Academy Award winner Branko Lustig to Vienna this year.
