The School Cinema will be an important part of the LET’S CEE Film Festival again this year and was even extended compared to the previous year. It will give all pupils an exciting and informative trip to the cinema for only 5 Euros per head. School Cinema events are also available to grown-up cinema goers, but at the regular fee. This year, children and young people will have a choice between three especially valuable films which will all be shown in the presence of high-calibre guests. The screening of Schindler’s List will be attended by the Academy Award winning set designer Allan Starski from Poland, who will be available for questions after the screening. How we played the Revolution and Buta will also be screened in the presence of the respective directors Giedrė Žickytė and Ilgar Najaf. In addition to that, there will be a joint event by the integration initiative projektXchange which promotes a successful coexistence, bringing together school classes and so-called ambassadors with migrant backgrounds. This helps overcome prejudices, fears, and conflicts and creates mutual understanding, a feeling of togetherness and dialogue.
