Dionis is a biology professor in a small Macedonian town and is about to retire. Despite his love for teaching, his true passion lies with something else: he collects cars and motorcycles, most of which are no longer roadworthy. Tirelessly he roams the streets and searches on the Internet for new unknown treasures that he could add to his enormous collection, ranging from busses and tanks to jeeps and even a glider. But Dionis dreams of something even bigger: He wants to open a museum for vintage cars in his hometown to attract local enthusiasts and tourists, meanwhile helping to enhance the value of the whole region. However, his expensive hobby needs backing, meaning that his wife Goce must actively support Dionis even though she is not necessarily in favour of her husband’s project. Luckily, the numerous wedding and birthday cakes she sells bring in good profit. Finally, the day of retirement has come and Dionis’ students surprise him with a VW Beetle – which is unsurprisingly not fit to drive any longer either. Ilija Cvetkovski’s documentary tells a simple tale by sensibly showing the lively imagination and pioneer spirit which drive this likeable elderly man.
