After a violent clash between protesters and the police, a young man escapes to his brother's apartment. Although bleeding profusely, his rage and hatred remain undaunted. When asked by his older brother, who seems a bit narrow-minded, whom he was protesting against, he replies, “Against the system”. Their mother comes to see them, and there is a lot of joking and laughter, until finally the police knocks at the door, wanting to arrest the injured younger brother for his violent actions committed during the illegal protests. The film never shows any bias nor does it judge, not even when it comes to the brutally violent police officers. The Same Blood demonstrates that the use of violence, also in political protests, always ends up in a vicious circle.
