Somewhere in Russia, a story that could happen anywhere: 10-year-old Sasha, who is living with her mother, is picked up by her father. Her divorced parents ignore each other and the child is handed over from A to B like a parcel. It is her father's birthday, and they are on their way to an idyllic picnic with friends and the new love interest of her father, but the atmosphere is tense. He takes his daughter on a speedboat ride to impress her. Gradually, the two seem to get closer to each other, but soon their relationship is shaken again, and the birthday party turns into a disaster. In Sasha, director Taisia Deeva dissects the manifestations of patriarchal masculinity that increasingly trouble Sasha, whose view of the world is finally shattered.
