Synopsis

Strandbar Herrmann on the Danube Canal, one of the hippest locations in the whole of Vienna, will be taken over by the LET’S CEE Film Festival for more than a week. Thanks to great support from the bar’s two managers, Alexander Kaiser and Rudi Konar, the beach bar will - for the third time - serve as the Festival’s chillout area, where both invited festival guests and audience members can gather. From 1^st to 11^th October, the bar’s Pavilion will become a freely-accessible meeting point for film makers and film lovers. Particular highlights will be the Meet & Greet Lunches, taking place daily between 12.00 and 14.00. Here you can indulge in the rich buffet offerings, and with a bit of luck possibly meet and interact with international film makers from across the CEE spectrum. On both Saturday 3^rd October and Sunday 4^th October there will be a Networking Brunch on the theme, “Let’s talk about Film Business,” in cooperation with Vienna Business Week . There will also be a lot going on in the cultural sphere at Strandbar Herrmann: On Sunday 4^th October at 18.00 and Saturday 10^th October at 16.00 there will be readings by Polish author Marcin Szczygielski, with free admission to the pavilion. And Goran Vojnović will be presenting his book Chefurs Raus! on Thursday 8^th October at 18.00. One Master Class and one open presentation by the European Film Festival (Saturday 10^th October at 18.00) will round off the programme offerings at the pavilion. Last but not least, there will be DJs and live acts lifting the spirits on 1^st, and then 3^rd - 8^th October at 22.00 each night.
