1970s , the arrival of Western fashion in the Soviet Union: long hair, bell-bottom pants and miniskirts, and of course disco and rock 'n' roll are suddenly popular there for many young people. People listen and dance to the songs by the Beatles. The rules of the party and the school system are meant to be broken for many. The Russian coming-of-age drama Once, is all about Lescha,Dema, Kisel and Tanja, four teenagers who are living in a provincial town, and enjoying their school holidays, outside on the streets. The reason is the the perceivable sweet smell of freedom. They strongly believe, that they have found the real life, full of motorcycle racing, fights, petty theft and celebrations with cheap cigarettes and wine. True friendship, betrayal and the real first love, everything is included. But what do you do when you actually fall in love with the girlfriend of your older brother? True Blue Story is a staged and very enterntaining love triangle. But if you are already grown up, but want to go back in time to your adolescence(made in USSR), or if you want to find out more about your parents (in the USSR, but also elsewhere), then you are in the righ place at the right time.
