Synopsis

2014 fair.versity Austria – one of Austria's leading career fairs – took place on September 23rd at the Wiener Rathaus, the Vienna City Hall. Many of the workshops and lectures held there reflected this year's focus on gender and diversity, but one last artistic event on this topic is still to come: fair.versity Austria and the LET'S CEE Film Festival have compiled an exciting selection of various short films that explore women's spaces and female gender roles in society. These will include the collaborations Invisible Spaces and The Chicken, as well as the Polish movie Fragments. After the screening, certain aspects of the movies will be discussed by the filmmakers and several distinguished guests from politics and economics. The choice of speakers was made to express that Austria's diverse population possesses an immense treasure of talent, which is of political as well as economic relevance. It is our responsibility to stimulate and utilise this huge potential.
